B.C.'s embattled premier has gotten herself into another pickle, this time for an off-the-cuff comment about a microphone and her ex-husband.
Here's the incident as explained by the Comox Valley Business Gazette:A seasoned orator, as well as a veteran of a talk radio business where controversy and titillation are king, Clark delivered what was surely the highlight of the presentation only a few minutes in.If it was anyone else, this probably wouldn't be much of story.
While struggling against a microphone that wouldn’t stay upright, she commented, “I’m not going to say it reminds me of my ex-husband.” The comment was met with laughs by all and the most raucous ovation of the afternoon.
But this is Christy Clark — the woman that controversy seems to seek out especially when it comes to issues regarding sexuality.

There was the Richard Branson incident, last year, when the billionaire asked Clark to go kite surfing with him, naked. Clark called that disrespectful.
This is the woman who told a radio host that it was better to be a MILF than a cougar when asked what is what like to be the former.
Blogger Laila Yuile suggests Clark brings on these controversies herself.
This woman has no filter between her mind and her mouth.Time will tell, whether or not this issue blows over or whether or media will be tasked with coming with a clever name for this 'scandal.'
If you want to talk about double standards, what would happen if a male premier made a joke about his ex-wife’s sexual function.. or lack thereof ?
Do you think that he might be called… gasp… sexist?? More likely women everywhere would have more than a few nastier words than that… but because it’s Clark, she gets a pass?
But on the heels of an ethnic outreach scandal and a party that's dropping in the polls, Clark can't afford any more missteps — whether they're actual, perceived or exaggerated.
For the time being everything she says is going to be scrutinized to to the nth degree. Hard as it may be, she'll have to resist the urge to joke about a limp microphone.
