LONDON—Canadian boxer Mary Spencer is making an early exit at the London Olympics.
She lost to China’s Jinzi Li in her opening bout at ExCel South Arena 2 on Monday.
Spencer, a three-time world champion from Wiarton, Ont., dropped a 17-14 decision in the four-round bout.
Spencer received a first-round bye in the 75-kilogram category.
Li advances to Wednesday’s semifinals.
