The 19-year-old battled through to the fourth round following a tense match on Court Two and was greeted with a standing ovation from a partisan crowd.
She mouthed 'yes!' as she wrapped up her 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 win, waving to fans with a big smile on her face.
Nearly 4,000 people packed out the court for the British number one's match against Marina Erakovic, cheering 'Come on Laura!', while fans lined up outside in the hope of spare seats.

It is only the second time Robson has made it through to the fourth round of a Grand Slam.
She fought back from a nervous start and on one occasion threw her towel onto a chair in apparent frustration after losing a point.
After the match, the teenager told the BBC: 'I was getting my butt kicked basically. I was struggling to return her serve. I had to work as hard as possible and just stick with it.
'The crowd was amazing, I couldn't have done it without them.'
Robson returns to court later for a second round match with doubles partner Lisa Raymond after avenging her loss against Erakovic in Birmingham last year.
While Robson's family has been cheering her on at Wimbledon, her mother, Kathy, has remained in Greece where she has been looking after the family dogs.
But she has spurred her daughter on with a series of text messages.
Robson, who grew up just a five-minute walk from the All England Club, has been supported by her father Andrew and older brother Nicholas, 21, who has been working at the Championships during his holidays as a court attendant.
Elsewhere, Andy Murray was suited and booted to return to Centre Court as a spectator alongside fellow Olympic and Paralympic champions in the Royal Box.
